Who are Royal Voluntary Service?

For almost 85 years, WVS, WRVS and today as Royal Voluntary Service, we have helped the people of Britain in times of crisis; from supporting the evacuation of children during the second world war to providing over 2 million acts of support during the coronavirus pandemic through the NHS Volunteer Responder programme.

Whether a national or personal crisis, Royal Voluntary Service is always there – in hospitals and communities throughout Britain.

Why should I support Royal Voluntary Service?

We currently have around 10,000 volunteers already making such a huge difference to so many lives, but it’s just not enough to meet the ever growing need. That’s why we’re so determined to boost those numbers and support even more people who need our help.

How does the ‘Give A Gift’ shop work?

Choose how many gifts you’d like to give and add them to your online basket – just as you’d do with many online shops. Once you’ve completed your transaction, your donation gift will be used to support our services throughout Britain – wherever the need is greatest.

Where does my money go?

When you give a gift, you are donating to Royal Voluntary Service who are providing vital services and supporting vulnerable people in hospitals and communities throughout Britain. Your gift will be used wherever the need is greatest.

Can I choose where my money goes?

At the moment, we aren’t able to restrict gifts to specific services or areas of the country. Instead, all gifts received from generous supporters like you will be used across all our services – right throughout Britain – and help vulnerable people wherever the need is greatest.

Can I add Gift Aid?

Yes, the virtual gift is a way of donating to Royal Voluntary Service, which means the gifts are eligible for Gift Aid if you are a UK tax payer.
